🚨🔥 Cunha Sends Bold Message Ahead of Manchester Derby: “Manchester Will Always Be RED”
Manchester United forward Matheus Cunha has reportedly sent a strong message ahead of Sunday’s Manchester derby, making it clear that he has no intention of being intimidated by Manchester City.
When asked about City, Cunha acknowledged their quality but quickly made his feelings about the rivalry crystal clear.
«“City are a strong side, no doubt. But Manchester United are bigger, better. On Sunday, we’ll remind everyone why Manchester will always be RED.” 🔴🔥»
That is exactly the kind of confidence United fans want to hear before a derby.
Manchester City may have enjoyed plenty of success in recent years, but the Manchester derby has always been about more than league positions and recent trophies. It is about pride, identity and proving who truly owns the city.
And Cunha appears ready for the battle.
🔴 Cunha understands what the derby means
Since arriving at Manchester United, Cunha has quickly shown that he is not afraid of big occasions.
His energy, aggression and personality have made him an instant fan favourite, and a statement like this will only strengthen that connection with the supporters.
United will need that mentality on Sunday.
City are capable of controlling games, keeping possession and punishing even the smallest defensive mistakes. But United cannot afford to approach the derby with fear.
They have to play with personality.
They have to fight.
And most importantly, they have to believe they can win.
⚔️ United need Cunha at his best
For Michael Carrick’s side, Cunha could be one of the key players in the game.
His ability to carry the ball, press defenders and create opportunities can cause problems for City’s backline. If United can get Cunha, Bruno Fernandes, Bryan Mbeumo and the rest of the attack firing, City could have a serious problem on their hands.
But this derby will not be won simply because United have talented attackers.
The midfield battle will be crucial, while the defence must remain disciplined for the full 90 minutes.
United cannot give City cheap chances.
🏟️ Sunday is about proving a point
Cunha’s message has certainly raised the temperature ahead of the derby.
Now comes the difficult part — backing up the words on the pitch.
There is nothing wrong with confidence before a huge match. In fact, United probably need more of it.
Manchester City deserve respect, but they should never be feared.
If United can match City’s intensity and take their chances, Sunday could become one of those special derby days that supporters remember for years.
Manchester may have two giants, but there is only one colour that truly matters to United fans.
🔴 Manchester will always be RED.
