BREAKING Diogo Dalot will no longer…. See more

😤 How Much Longer Should Manchester United Persist With Diogo Dalot?

Manchester United fans are reaching the point where the frustration with Diogo Dalot is becoming impossible to ignore.

Game after game, mistake after mistake, the same questions keep coming back: How long should Manchester United continue with Dalot as a regular starter?

The criticism became even louder following United’s recent matches. Dalot was involved in a difficult afternoon during the Manchester derby, and he was again heavily criticised after Wednesday’s 3-2 Carabao Cup defeat to Brighton. Former defender Micky Gray even accused him of “hiding” during the Brighton game.

And this is where the debate becomes interesting.

Dalot is no longer a young player learning the basics of Premier League football. He is an experienced Manchester United player who has been at the club for years and has played under multiple managers.

At some point, experience has to translate into consistency.

That does not mean every defeat should be blamed on Dalot. United’s problems are clearly bigger than one player. But when the same individual keeps becoming the focus of criticism after poor performances, supporters are naturally going to question whether the club needs a different option.

His recent numbers also show that his performances have not been uniformly poor. For example, statistical records show that he has started four Premier League matches this season, while also producing a number of positive defensive actions.

So perhaps the real question isn’t whether Dalot has ever played well.

It is whether he is consistently good enough for the level Manchester United are trying to reach.

United need defenders who can be trusted under pressure, especially in matches where the margin for error is tiny. If Dalot continues to make costly mistakes or struggles to provide the reliability Carrick expects from his senior players, then competition for his position should become a serious discussion.

For me, this isn’t about hating Dalot.

It is about demanding more.

Manchester United cannot keep waiting for a player to eventually become the finished product when he has already accumulated years of first-team experience.
