🚨🔴 Luke Shaw Could Leave Manchester United Next Summer!
Manchester United could be facing a major decision over Luke Shaw’s future, with reports suggesting the defender could leave Old Trafford when his current contract expires next summer.
According to the latest reports, there is currently no indication that contract discussions are taking place between Shaw and Manchester United. If no agreement is reached, the England international could become a free agent at the end of the 2026/27 season.
Shaw has been at Manchester United since joining from Southampton in 2014 and is currently the club’s longest-serving player. Despite his career being interrupted by injuries, he enjoyed an ever-present 2025/26 Premier League campaign, starting all 38 league matches.
However, his situation has become increasingly interesting as United look towards the future of their defence.
The club failed to bring in a new specialist left-back during the summer transfer window, leaving Patrick Dorgu as one of the main alternatives when Shaw is unavailable. Reports have also linked United with potential defensive reinforcements ahead of next summer.
If Shaw ultimately leaves as a free agent, Manchester United would need to find a long-term replacement for one of the most experienced players in the squad.
For now, nothing has been confirmed regarding Shaw’s departure. His future could depend on whether United decide to offer him a new contract and whether an agreement can be reached before his current deal expires.
🔴 Manchester United fans, should the club try to keep Luke Shaw beyond next summer?
