🚨 MAN UNITED FANS SLAM MICHAEL CARRICK FOR STARTING ‘PATHETIC’ PLAYER IN EVERTON DRAW 🔴😡
Manchester United’s frustrating 2-2 draw against Everton has sparked another wave of criticism from supporters, with manager Michael Carrick facing questions over some of his selection decisions.
United twice took the lead at Hill Dickinson Stadium but failed to hold on, with Everton finding a dramatic stoppage-time equaliser through Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
The result means United have collected just four points from their opening three Premier League matches, increasing the pressure surrounding Carrick’s early-season decisions.
😡 FANS QUESTION CARRICK’S TEAM SELECTION
A section of Manchester United supporters have taken aim at Carrick for continuing to select a player they believe has not been good enough to justify his place in the starting XI.
Social media reactions have described the player’s performance as “pathetic”, with some supporters arguing that Carrick needs to be more ruthless with his selections.
The criticism comes at a difficult time for United, who have already shown worrying defensive vulnerabilities despite possessing enough attacking quality to win games.
⚠️ THE BIGGER PROBLEM ISN’T JUST ONE PLAYER
While individual performances naturally attract attention after disappointing results, United’s problems against Everton went beyond one player.
United scored twice and appeared to have done enough to secure three points, only to concede another late goal. Maitland-Niles’ spectacular strike in the 96th minute rescued Everton a point.
That inability to close games out has become a major talking point.
Gary Neville has also raised concerns about United’s defensive instability and the constant changes in the back four, highlighting the uncertainty at the heart of Carrick’s team.
🔴 CARRICK NOW HAS A BIG DECISION TO MAKE
The United manager has insisted that the team’s start is not as bad as some supporters believe, despite the disappointment of the Everton result.
However, fans will expect changes if certain players continue to struggle.
Carrick must decide whether to remain loyal to his current starters or give opportunities to players waiting on the bench.
With Champions League football coming up and a huge Manchester derby also on the horizon, United cannot afford too many more dropped points.
👀 WHAT DO YOU THINK, UNITED FANS?
Was Carrick wrong to start this ‘pathetic’ player against Everton?
Should Carrick drop him for the next match, or does he deserve another opportunity to prove himself?
