🚨⚔️ I TRUST IN SENNE LAMMENS! ❤️💥
Senne Lammens may still be young, but there are already plenty of reasons for Manchester United fans to believe in the Belgian goalkeeper.
Since arriving at Old Trafford, Lammens has shown flashes of the quality that convinced United to put their faith in him. His performances have not been completely perfect, and there have been a few mistakes along the way, but his overall presence between the posts has brought a sense of calm and confidence to the backline.
Of course, Manchester United supporters were spoiled during the best years of Edwin van der Sar and David de Gea. Those goalkeepers produced countless spectacular reflex saves and regularly rescued the team when the defence was exposed.
Lammens is not at that level yet — and realistically, he should not be expected to be at such a young age.
However, there are other areas of his game that are already encouraging. His distribution, composure with the ball at his feet and ability to come off his line to claim aerial balls have been particularly impressive. These are qualities that can become extremely valuable as United continue to develop their style of play.
There was one area of concern last season, though: Lammens appeared vulnerable when dealing with crosses and efforts directed towards the far post. He was beaten on several occasions in situations where a goalkeeper of his potential would be expected to do better.
The big question now is whether he has been able to improve that part of his game.
Goalkeeping is a position where experience matters enormously. A goalkeeper can develop dramatically with regular matches, better positioning, stronger decision-making and simply learning from mistakes. Lammens has plenty of time on his side.
At his age, the most important thing is that Manchester United continue to give him the right environment to develop rather than judging him against legends of the past.
He doesn’t need to be the next Van der Sar or De Gea right now.
He simply needs to become the best version of Senne Lammens.
And if he continues improving at this rate, the ceiling could be incredibly high. 🔴🧤
I trust the young man. Now let’s give him the support and patience he deserves.
Come on, Lammens! Come on, United! ❤️💥
