🚨 CARLOS BALEBA DEBUT DELAYED? MAN UTD FANS MAY HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL OCTOBER 🔴⏳
Manchester United supporters may have to wait a little longer before seeing Carlos Baleba make his competitive debut for the club.
The midfielder has already been a regular presence around Old Trafford following his reported £70 million move from Brighton, but his recovery means he is unlikely to feature in either of United’s upcoming fixtures.
United are scheduled to face Brighton in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday before travelling to Fulham in the Premier League on Sunday. However, Baleba is reportedly not expected to be fit in time for either encounter.
That will undoubtedly come as a disappointment to supporters who have been eagerly waiting to see what the powerful midfielder can bring to Michael Carrick’s team.
Baleba’s physicality, energy and ability to cover ground could become extremely important for United’s midfield, particularly during a long and demanding campaign.
The timing of the international break could, however, work in his favour.
With an extended three-week gap in the schedule, the focus will reportedly be on getting Baleba fully fit rather than rushing him into action. That could potentially see him return to contention in October, provided his recovery continues as planned.
For now, United fans will simply have to be patient.
After making such a significant investment in the midfielder, the club will want Baleba available for the long term rather than risking another setback by bringing him back too quickly.
The wait continues. When Carlos Baleba finally steps onto the pitch in a Manchester United shirt, will he be worth the hype? 👀🔴
