🎂❤️ HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BRUNO FERNANDES! CAPTAIN TURNS 32! 🔴👑
Today, Manchester United fans around the world celebrate the birthday of their captain and midfield leader, Bruno Fernandes. 🎉❤️
Born on 8 September 1994, Fernandes turns 32 today, marking another milestone in an extraordinary career that has seen him become one of the most influential figures at Old Trafford.
🔴 From Portugal to the Theatre of Dreams
Fernandes arrived at Manchester United from Sporting CP in January 2020, making his United debut shortly afterwards. Since then, the Portuguese playmaker has established himself as one of the club’s most important players.
His leadership, creativity, goals, assists and relentless desire to win have made him a fan favourite and a central figure in the United dressing room.
Wearing the famous No. 8 shirt, Bruno has consistently carried enormous responsibility for United, often demanding the ball when the pressure is at its highest.
👑 A Captain Who Continues To Deliver
Fernandes’ individual record at Manchester United speaks for itself.
He has won the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award five times, while also becoming only the fourth overseas player to score 100 goals for the club. He has also produced double figures for goals and assists in each of his full United seasons.
His influence has continued to grow, with Fernandes recently earning major individual recognition after breaking the long-standing Premier League assists record in the 2025/26 season and being named the Football Writers’ Player of the Year.
And his trophy cabinet keeps growing: Fernandes was also named the PFA Players’ Player of the Year.
❤️ More Than Just a Footballer
For United supporters, Bruno represents more than statistics.
He represents passion.
He represents leadership.
He represents the willingness to take responsibility when things aren’t going well.
There have been difficult moments during his Manchester United journey, but the Portuguese international has continued to fight, compete and demand more from himself and those around him.
That mentality is exactly why the captain’s armband means so much when it is on his arm.
🎉 HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CAPTAIN!
At 32, Bruno Fernandes remains a key part of Manchester United’s ambitions, and supporters will be hoping there are plenty more memorable moments, goals, assists and celebrations to come.
From Sporting CP to becoming one of Manchester United’s most influential modern players, Bruno’s journey has been remarkable.
