🚨 BREAKING: Manchester United Fear JJ Gabriel Could Join Manchester City
Manchester United are reportedly facing a major concern over the future of highly-rated academy youngster JJ Gabriel, with fears that the teenage sensation could make the controversial move across Manchester to Manchester City.
The 15-year-old has formally asked to leave Manchester United, sending shockwaves through the club after making huge progress at Carrington.
Gabriel had been expected to be involved with Michael Carrick’s first-team squad for the Carabao Cup clash against Brighton, but his decision to seek an exit has changed the situation dramatically.
🔵 City now a potential destination
According to reports, Manchester United are particularly concerned that Manchester City could attempt to take advantage of the situation.
City are among several clubs who have previously shown interest in Gabriel, with Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid also linked with the highly-rated youngster.
However, there is currently no confirmation that Gabriel has agreed to join Manchester City. The concern comes from United’s awareness that City are interested and could potentially make a move.
🔴 United still want to keep him
Manchester United have reportedly been working to convince Gabriel and his family to reconsider the decision.
The teenager joined United at the age of 11 and has rapidly risen through the academy. He recently scored a hat-trick on his UEFA Youth League debut and has been regarded as one of the club’s most exciting young prospects.
United’s priority will now be to find a solution that keeps Gabriel at Old Trafford.
Losing him to Manchester City would add another layer to an already dramatic situation surrounding one of the academy’s most highly-rated youngsters.
For now, though, Gabriel’s next destination remains undecided.
🚨 Manchester United fans will be watching this situation extremely closely.
