🚨 JUST IN: Carlos Baleba Set to Miss Brighton and Fulham Games
Manchester United fans may have to wait a little longer to see new signing Carlos Baleba make his competitive debut for the club.
According to reports from Manchester Evening News journalist Ty Marshall, Baleba is unlikely to be fit in time to face Brighton in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, while he is also expected to miss Sunday’s Premier League trip to Fulham.
The midfielder has been working towards a return from injury, but United are reportedly unwilling to rush him back before he is fully ready.
Instead, Baleba’s current focus is now understood to be on returning to action in October.
That will certainly come as a disappointment to supporters who were hoping to see the £70 million signing in United colours sooner, particularly with the midfield expected to play a crucial role in Michael Carrick’s system.
However, rushing Baleba back could be counterproductive. United have a long season ahead, and getting the midfielder fully fit before throwing him into competitive action should be the priority.
With the international break also providing additional recovery time, October could now be the realistic target for Baleba’s first appearance.
For now, United fans will have to be patient. The wait continues for the powerful midfielder to finally step onto the pitch and show what he can bring to Carrick’s Manchester United.
🔴 Hopefully, Baleba returns stronger and ready to make an immediate impact.
What do you think, United fans? Should Carrick take zero risks with Baleba and wait until he is 100% fit?
