‼️🔴 MANCHESTER UNITED’S SLOW START CONTINUES — JUST 4 POINTS FROM 3 GAMES!
Manchester United have once again made a disappointing start to the Premier League season, collecting just four points from their opening three matches of the 2026/27 campaign.
Following the 2–2 draw against Everton, United have already fallen five points behind league leaders Arsenal after just three games.
Even more concerning, the Red Devils are currently closer to 20th place than they are to the top of the table.
📊 UNITED’S POINTS AFTER 3 GAMES
Here is how Manchester United have started their last five Premier League campaigns:
– 2026/27 — 4 points
– 2025/26 — 4 points
– 2024/25 — 3 points
– 2023/24 — 6 points
– 2022/23 — 3 points
The numbers highlight a worrying pattern.
Manchester United have managed to collect only four points from their first three league matches in each of the last two seasons.
🔴 The Gap Is Already Growing
There are obviously still 35 Premier League games to play, so nobody should be talking about the title race being over at this stage.
However, dropping points early can create unnecessary pressure later in the season.
Arsenal have already established a five-point advantage over United, meaning the Red Devils need to start turning performances into victories rather than repeatedly settling for draws.
The 2–2 result against Everton was particularly frustrating because United had opportunities to take all three points.
⚠️ United Need Consistency
The biggest issue isn’t necessarily the number of points alone — it’s the feeling that Manchester United are once again making life difficult for themselves.
A club with ambitions of competing near the top of the Premier League cannot afford to repeatedly give away points through mistakes and lapses in concentration.
There is still plenty of time to turn things around.
But United need to start doing it now.
The upcoming fixtures will provide a much clearer indication of whether this is simply another slow start or the beginning of another frustrating campaign.
For now, the reality is simple:
4 points from 3 games. Five points behind Arsenal. And already closer to the bottom than the top.
🔴 Manchester United have to start winning football matches.
